    • I think "never event" was chosen because it will not be reimbursed (negative compensation). But, with the law of unintended consequences, I suspect it will be used to seek tort compensation.

    • The "Never Event" is unfortunately named. In Australia a list of similar events are called Critical Indicators. I accept that they are preventable, but it is hard to say never in medicine...

  • Well, will take a while to get used to the new color scheme. At first thought I was at the wrong site!

    I use Windows XP/IE6 and have to scroll down past the left sidebar information/content before seeing the first post.
  • I have the same (Windows XP/IE6) -- but mainly use Firefox and Opera -- I'll do some checking, I think the it has to do with window size in IE. If the window width is smaller then the minimal size for the three columns then you will see the effect you are seeing. I've only seen this with IE6, and not Firefox/Opera.
  • Count me in the "Like it" crowd.
